Green building is the practice of increasing the efficiency with which buildings use resources – energy, water and materials — while reducing building impacts on human health and the environment during the building's lifecycle, through better siting, design, construction, and maintenance.

Mosaic Oaks homes meet the definition of green building as certified by the Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC) - one of the most widely recognized third-party green certification organizations in existence.  Due to the growing populariy of living "green", a lot of homes are being marketed as being “green”. But, without third-party certification, home buyers can be easily misled.  You should know that if a builder says a house is built green, but doesn't have third party certification, it's probably due to the extra cost of inspections.
