Low V.O.C. building materials.
By definition, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are organic chemical compounds that have high enough vapor pressures under normal conditions to significantly vaporize and impair indoor air quality. In fact, they are most commonly associated with what has become known as “sick building syndrome”. VOC’s are often found in traditional building materials such as paints, carpet backing, and laminated cabinetry.
The homes at Mosaic Oaks are designed and built with minimal VOC content. The indoor paint, from Sherwin Williams, is certified low VOC. There is no carpeting, so there is no carpet backing. And, last but not least, the kitchen cabinetry is built using low VOC adhesives. Accordingly, living in a Mosaic Oaks home will help you to reduce your exposure to potentially toxic VOC’s.
