Solar Hot Water (optional)

After air conditioning, the second largest energy consumer in a home is the hot water heater.  Of course, the most energy efficient way to heat water is by using energy from the sun.  Mosaic Oaks homes are plumbed to easily accommodate solar hot water systems.  Accordingly, these systems can be easily (and relatively cheaply) installed at any time.

In addition to saving hundreds of dollars in power bills per year, solar hot water systems also entitle homeowners to state rebates and federal tax credits in excess of a thousand dollars.  The pay-back for this investment is between three and four years. So, although a solar hot water system is an optional feature, most Mosaic Oaks homeowners will elect to install one simply because it makes good financial sense.
