The developer, Solid Green Home Builders, is so confident of the energy efficiency of these homes, they are offering a first-year guarantee that electric bills will not exceed $99 per month – or they’ll pay the difference.  Superior insulation, air-tight construction, reflective roofing, solar hot water (optional) and energy efficient appliances, light fixtures and ceiling fans make these homes very inexpensive to power while being very comfortable homes in which to live.

Although it is very difficult to predict the future course of events, one this is almost for certain: the cost of energy is not going down and will almost certainly increase in time.
